These dark elf ladies do look nice, too... I sense a potential amaxon conversion coming up...

Why should i let myself be depressed?
By this reasoning i shouldn't enjoy playing football with my friends because of Messi. ;)

It's depressing to know you will never be that good, but if you enjoy it, it shouldn't stop you

I am past depression, and into serene acceptance. :D
I am not yet long enough in the hobby to achieve that.

1. Denial "No way!!! That has to be photoshopped!"
2. Anger "man he is too good! Why can't I be so good?"
3. Bargaining "maybe if I invest more time in the hobby or use better colors..."
4. Depression "*sigh* I'll never be that good *sob*"
5. Acceptance "well, who cares? I have fun painting"

I am somewhere in stages 3 and 4 most of the time I guess...

I agree. Some people are just so good that it is actually de-motivational. A sad reminder of my mediocrity.

Look at it this way. To be that good at painting, you must use a lot of time on it, and neglect some other skills. So what if you're a mediocre painter, think about all the other things that you are above average in. Can he carve wood like you? I don't think so.

Basically, don't let other's success discourage you, just enjoy the things you like.

Your frame of mind in regards to painting is definitely superior to mine. I completely agree with you, but it is difficult to overcome one's own innate nature.

For the record, I'd give up my woodworking skills for those high level painting skills!
