Just for fun.

If Kroxigors (on their own, not Skrox) were core choices, how often would you include them in your army lists? What sized units (if any) would you include? What role would they serve you? What other core would you take alongside of them, and what would they replace?

Haha, I love polls, you get to see the answer on page one ;)
I think if it was all coming out core points I'd just have to try a horde of them, pitiful ironguts lol
I think it would just be great not having to take the annoying little skinks that just hand the combat to your opponent.

Having Monstrous Infantry core would be a nice change of pace. Most people are afraid of larger units (6+) of Kroxigor so this would be sweet.

Now this might come as a shock to you guys, but I said ALWAYS!!

2 units of 2x2 for each flank , 400pts? SOLD!
I wouldn't even care to go over 600 for core to have enough skinks.

"Why dont you just take them in special then?"
Because I wouldnt go 400pts over Core! ;)

I REALLY think that a way to make lizards more interesting, would be to transfer some of our Special choices to core.
Krox would be on the edge of too good, but seeing other armies choices this time around it wouldnt be THAT far out imo.

That makes sense. I myself chose the option "very often", as there still would be times when I would try other things. I think Kroxigor in core would definitely shake things up for our army.

I wonder if anyone would still elect to take Shrox units if Kroxigors became core?

Jungle Swarm back to core. There! Hurr durr

I wouldn't object if that happened actually.
I found it eternally frustrating that they finally made the swarms interesting, only to move them into an ocean red from better competition.

Personally I'd much rather have Kroxigor or Cold One Cavalry in core than swarms. I've never been sold on swarms. I probably wouldn't field them even if they were moved back to core.

If it was a choice between the, id go for Cold one cav all the way!

Core Look Out Sir for my Cowboys?
YES PLEASE!

pretty damn close would be kroxes....oh and the dream of being able to take a TG unit as core for each slann in the army

I agree, Cold One Cavalry would be the most beneficial for us. As core, I think they would make their way into a large number of army lists. Kroxigors would be my second choice.

I had thought of this idea before, it would be amazing. Imagine a Kroak list!

6 ... either in one big unit or 2 units of 3...
because that's all that I currently own.

I have a game tonight where I field all 21 kroxes...in a single unit.

...................It might go bad!

Can't wait to hear about! What army are you facing?

Now imagine if those points were coming out of core!

An even more interesting poll would be one asking how much your attitude towards them would change if they are core.

I never play Krox, i prefer bigger dinosaurs and TG, but i am getting into more and more trouble with my core tax in competitive games. Right now, my stance is almost never, I don’t even own the buggers, I proxied them a few times, did not really like them. If they were core, they would be added in sometimes, at least to try out. They are fast, strong, and another type of unit in your army (in all comers lists that I mostly write diversity is strength, as it is easier to counter other lists). I always found it werd dat Skrox are core while the Krox are not.

That's true. This poll was sort of an extension of the previous one: http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/analyzing-kroxigor.16146/

Looking at the two polls, it would at least appear that there is a shift in attitude if Krox were core. I think they would be an interesting core option and give us some much needed variety.

Maybe it is something to keep in the back of our minds when we have to write our own 9E armybook, i think it would flesh out our core choices pretty well, without them needing a nerf or anything. Maybe all Krox lists would be to strong though, that's the problem with making some units core..
