I didn't clarify, it wasn't against standard ogres, it was against... i can't remember the name, maybe man eaters? There was a hero in there as well. And now that you guys are making me remember more fully it wasn't a flank charge either. I used walk between worlds to get my krox up the field. He turned to face on his turn, I charged with the group of 10 on my next turn.
Sorry my bad, you caught me in an exaggeration for effect

. I do remember asking how many points each on of his troops were and they were cheaper than the krox.
That's a completely different thing though and certainly not representative of what kroxigors can, but instead of what they can't.
The unit, however, would've probably been more expensive than your kroxigor unit or at the very least close in points (counting hero). 7 Maneaters + a bruiser will cost 455pts with no command and absolutetly no items on the hero.
7 Maneaters + a Hero will on average kill 5 kroxies before our poor oversized contruction workers can even swing their hammer.
Here's the thing though, assuming that for whatever reason our kroxies could actually swing first they would on average almost do the same thing.
IF you're going to do something like that I would suggest; hexing the ogre unit by reducing their WS, S or To Hit on them. Alternatively you can also buff your kroxies by upping their WS, T or heal them.
A Wandering Deliberation Slann can do several of these things with iceshard blizzard, miasma, wyssans wildform or a Life Slann with Skink Priest support. Upping the toughness of our kroxigors by just 2 would make quite a swing in their favor, not to mention healing units back up. A Shadow Slann could also be interesting - reducing both WS and S considerably could do a number on their ability to wound you.
However, I would still aim to hit him in the flank due always striking last. Get as many kroxies to hit as possible. Which means that you'll want something infront of the ogres so they can't reform and only hit your with a limited amount of attacks.
I'm just not sure what though. One could stop them with a gazillion skings, but the sad thing is that it would only be on unit we would've stopped so more would be coming.
Anyway aren't Maneaters usually used for their poisoned sniping abilities and not so much because of their fighting capabilities?
