Yea so the book says a slann is infantry.. If this is the case he can lose his head... Doesn't seem right

Cheers

But it is :D

Witch hunter + ruby ring of ruin = sadface

He is subject to killing blow indeed, like every other infantry wizard in the game.

Luckily, he has a wardsave ;)

hopefully then my WE opponent tomorrow wont get to do it with his dancers :)

Huh, I though he was monstrous infantry,
because of the 50m base size..? o_O

Troop Type isn't determined by base size. It's listed alongside the profile in the Army List section of the book. The Slann is "Infantry (Character)" which is also why he gets look out sirs with Saurus/Skinks. If he was Monstrous Infantry he would only get a LoS from units of Kroxigor!

yea I must be thinking about last edition or something. :D

4+ ward in addition to MR (D3), very unlikely death...

MR does not apply against magic weapons, but against spells that cause damage.

also, i don't think anyone use the d3 discipline, cheaper to get an ibsidian stone thingy anyways for a mr2 and 4+ = 2++ against spells

EDIT : just noticed it was in response to the ruby ring :p

Yeah, that sh*t should never happen lol :D

I use unfathomable prescence because it's cheaper than obsidian lodestone (45points) and the same price as obsidian amulet (30points) and has 66% chance of being as good or better. I like it.
Also, it can't be removed by "destroy this magic item" things.

I like to have an EotG nearby, which gives the unit a 3++ ward vs magic on a good day.
Soul of Stone is one i never buy...
