For me personally, I've been fighting bed bugs for a the better part of a year. It seems like the exterminator always gets most of them but leave enough behind to resurge in a month.

Also, mosquitos and wasps pollinate plants. I don't know if ticks serve any greater purpose, but ticks are fairly easy to deal with.
