I think Elon Musk does not have the discipline or fortitude to be a hero like Batman. I think he is far more likely to be a villain. But I think he would be a sympathetic villain like Mr. Freeze or Poison Ivy rather than a sadist like the Scarecrow or a force of nature like the Joker.

Musk has a lot of grand ambitions but most of them have not really materialized yet. A lot of sympathetic villains have a good cause twisted into something negative.

Also, Musk seems to get emotionally wrecked by his exes and that's a common thread among Batman's more sympathetic villains.

Musk seems like the type of person that cares a lot of what other people are saying about him but he is a busy focused guy. He probably has a team of PR people who dig up media mentions of him and give him summaries.

So welcome Elon Musk's employees!

That seems awfully pessimistic.
  • leading force in the electric car industry
  • revolutionized space travel with reusable rockets
  • star link satellite network
  • richest man in the world (or in the top two, as him an Bezo keeping switching positions)
I think you're setting the bar impossibly high. I'm sure any of us on the forum would love to have our ambitions not materialize in the exact way that they "haven't" for Musk.

I'm having a hard time thinking of anybody who has been more successful than he has.
