I work at a store that sells among other things, fly swatters.

Ironically the store has a lot of flies.

I probably not the only one, but I took a few and seeded a few fly swatters around the store outside their usual places, so if a fly is nearby, I have a weapon to kill it.

Spiders eat things that annoy me, so they may live, unless they walk across my bed.

I had a phobia for spider. Usually my reaction was slaughtering them with an excessive amount of efforts and always with the fear that the alien beast could quickly do something unexpected.
i worked on it, also watching all those youtube videos with spider owners that deals with their tarantulas bare handed, and manage to stay cool even when the spider sprints around.
Actually the little ones have almost no effect on me; I can look at big spiders without too much anxiety and i'm even able to move them away safely outside my house.

They are always a disturbing view, but i can deal with it
