Same. But, and please take this as the fun fact it is, recall that Root Beer was originally an alcoholic beverage. o_O They still make it with the booze in it... That said, it tastes better without the alcohol. So many different kinds to try! :D

Different strokes for different folks these days. With that said, some alcoholic beverages are dangerously close in taste to their non-alcoholic counterparts - I can point to more than a few ciders I've had that are virtually indistinguishable from ordinary apple juice, for instance.

At the same time, there's also more than a few non-alcoholic sodas whose sugar content automatically makes them inferior. Looking at you, Canada Dry and Schweppes...
