I really like bacon, but I don't proseltyze the greatness of bacon. There are a lot of cultures that have religious prohibitions against bacon.

Also, my friends and I experimented with using bacon fat in place of butter and cooking oil in baking recipes....I do not recommend it.

Bacon fat used to cook eggs or burgers = delicious. Brownies and cookies, not so much.

I imagine they were overly salty. Possibly a bit rancid/meaty.
