Yes, yes 1000 times yes.

I wasn't able to master polite nothings like this till my mid twenties.

I prided myself on maintaining my honesty in all situations until my dad set me straight. "Sometimes you use honesty as an excuse to be rude because you are too lazy to expend the effort to be polite."
