Fun fact: I have the same thing. It stresses me out. I can avoid it though:

The war between DC and Marvel will end when one company trademarks Florida Man. He is the hero we deserve but not the one that we need right now.

Some people say that the reason Florida Man is a meme is because the state is mahrlect up, but that's not really true.

Here's a thing I heard from a newspaper journalist that worked in several states. Compared to most of the rest of the country, Florida laws require police to provide information to the press quickly and readily. There is also a strong culture of the police and courts having a culture of openness at least with reporting crimes. So there is less offiical red tape, and the authority figures don't deliberately sit on their hands and slow down the exchange of information.

In a lot of cases in other states, the hijinks of stupid criminals have so much beuarcratic and cultural barriers for reporters getting the information that by the time they get the confirmation of the events, the events are over a week old and therefore not news and therefore not published. So maybe the others states are just better at hiding the antics of their bottom 1% of human beings.


Or maybe Florida is mahrlect up.
