All parents know that horror.

Thank the Gods I grew up before that abomination hit Channel 5 in the UK... ;)

Honestly, if I was still a child nowadays I would have hardly anything to watch - it would be like when my parents were children (although nowadays it would not be because there’s nothing on for children, it would be because there’s too much rubbish on for children).

I have enough trouble finding anything good on to watch as it is, what with the decline of Challenge TV and the rise of reality and talent shows...:argh::drowning:

That is sadly true. Had loads of cartoons to watch from 2001-2014

Now it's the video games that have mostly taken over in terms of entertainment for children.

In Germany we are a bit more lucky, there are still some decent cartoons on one channel.

Teletubbies I only watched when I was very little, so I can’t remember the effect of it on my parents or anything. I agree with Peppa Pig - I did watch it when I was a child but it was never my favourite show and now I find it intolerable. Fireman Sam and Thomas the Tank Engine were great back when I was little - that was back when children’s series were made to be appealing to both parents and children so that parents would watch them with their children. Of course that died a horrible death when they both became animated...:argh:
