True, but that's still better than RIFTS, where that 5 minute fight can take 10+ hours. I know, I have lived it. It gets boring after the 2nd hour, and by hour 5 people are building little towers out of their dice piles.

There is a way to do fantasy battles in real time but at a terrible cost..dignity.

All things considered, I'll take casting magic missile at the darkness over battle LARPing any day.
