Contest July-August 2023 Short Story Contest Entries Closed

Killer Angel gets a pass for all the entries he's done in the past, but I need more entries from the rest you...chop chop.

genuine question: if at the deadline you'll have only 2 stories, are you going to extend it?

If there won't be enough entries let us know.
A couple of days won't do nothing for me, but i could maybe use a more extended deadline
 
Well, I have a skeleton story plan written, so just got to get the chance to sit down and write. :P

Alas, extra work stopped me entering my due vacation, that will start only next wednesday.
no chance to write before that day :(
 
Am nearing 1,200 word-things in the off and on time i've had to write. Muse has not been kind to me, so has been quite the slog to get anything down.

I will make it though.
 

The rat makes three, but hopefully we can be more.

I extended the deadline a few days. I work nights and I realized the previous deadline would coincided with a long shift that, and I be both late in posting and tired enough to make mistakes, so I figured I'd add a few days to push it to a time when I can administer the contest at more leisurely pace.

As a side effect, maybe we'll get another entry or two.

yeah it's four. We MIGHT get five by tonight but don't hold your breath. Either way I'll post what we have at midnight tonight.
