8th Ed. javelins or blow pipes

I always use blowpipes is I have the choice. Javelins are cool, but if I don't want to hit on 7s with my skirmishers then I will just do one shot. Giants seem to love running up ahead of the battle line, so I just rain double shot death at them for easy points. :D
