I have been out for a while not playing any games of AoS for more than six months. But I am back and still, there is no news about our Seraphon getting any love. I see new battle tomes with great rules and new fantastic minis and I can't feel excited at our own models.

So are we getting anything or GW has decided to say nothing and keep us another year with the same battle tome from 2015?

Ps. I loved the new BB models btw.

No word from GW yet.

We'll get something soon. Since the start of this year GW has been releasing 1 battletome a month (on average). With the announcement of Slaves, that makes a full 12 and it's shaping up to be a huge release. We'll either get lucky and be boxed in with Slaves, or be announced at the end of the year or Q1 next year.

i would ratther gat a stand alone release so that they can bring their A game

I hope one gets released sooner than later. I actually just got into collecting Lizardmen/Seraphon, only to hear that we have a rather weak, outdated army that can't compete head to head with pretty much any of the other armies out there. Most of the battle reports I've watched online the Seraphon get decimated any time they actually fight, and can only win by teleporting onto objectives and long-range shooting.

we are very good at stealing victories but ya most of us are tired of having to play at master lvl to beat some one who is sand bagging

One thing I have just noticed is that we are the only army left in the GHB who doesn’t have a new Battletome - that has to be fairly promising when it comes to releases!
KO & tzeentch don't have a new one either (and Slaves to darkness technicly don't, but at least they got a new one announced). And nurgle is a biof an odd-case seeing as that's the first 2.0 tome. So it's "new" while also quite "old".

To my knowledge tzeentch and KO seem totally unplayable, even worse then us. As for nurgle it still packs a punch and have models that can hit really hard

edit; I based this statement off of people and what I saw them playing.
Nurgle came from a battle where I nearly lost against hard hitting models

tzeench is actually much better then we are siting right at the middle point in the rankings and having 3 first place wins. mostly due to change host.same with KO mostly due to shooting becoming so necessary(they still need a book badly). nurgle is doing as bad as we are so many armies do so much damage that they just aren't as durable as they used to be and dispite every thing they are slow and can't teleport kind of like stormcast.

both tzeentch and KO have the advantage of being heavily ranged focussed. This allows them to avoid a lot of the problems created by for example slaanesh going first in melee as they can simply shoot at em before they get into melee. Or at least, block them with some fodder and have the backline then shoot into them. Also, it means that their objective grabbers don't just stand around doing nothing, they can still provide some supporting fire. This allows them to keep up decently well.

Nurgle is probably in a worse place due to 1) being slow as hell and 2) their whole playstyle resolves around being sturdy, so other armies getting more and more destructive due to powercreep slowly destroys nurgle's playstyle.

I was talking more about those with allegiance abilities provided by the Handbook - since its release, all other factions in the same section of ours have had a Battletome

From what I'm seeing (as a total newbie, so I'm probably wrong, lol!) we mainly just need a bit more damage and survivability. Saurus warriors get wrecked by pretty much everything. Temple guard? Everyone and their second cousin has mortal wound spam. Carnosaurs? Have to kill their target in one round or they're dead. Troglodon? Same thing. Magic, teleporting and summoning are pretty good, as are our bastiladons, razordons, and engine of the gods. But our battle lines definitely need a little something more, because even with heroes buffing them sky-high they still get wrecked.

Not to mention holding the right end of the lance...
1” reach has been commented on by every single opponent facing knights for the first time.

Each unit really does only need a few tweaks here and there, but across the book that really adds up.
