As the title says can a scar vet be good in combat if he has the Fencer's Blade. I know there are better options but this is just for fun and i was wondering if anyone had some ideas for what i could do with him.

I often take the fencers blades, whats not to like about WS10 and +1 attack?

Throw Pha's protection on there too. That would mean that a lot of the lower weapons skill attacks will need 6s to hit.

I really like the fencer's blades. I like using it on skink chiefs as well. Once, in a 1500 point game against VC, I had a skink chief that killed the vampire general.

Well i was thinking of just giving him an additional hw and adding Venom of the Firefly Frog to him and then giving him Armor of Fortune. Cause there i'll have 6 S5 attacks that are poisoned and he has a 3+ AS and 5+ ward

How about something like this...

Saurus Scar-Veteran
Cold One + Light Armour + Fencer's Blades + The Other Trickster's Shard

You get 5 WS10 attacks (and one cold one attack), a 2+ save, cause fear, and enemy re-rolls successful ward saves.

only infantry gain an extra attack from double hand weapon. I suggest fencer + bane head + light armour (to kill enemy heroes)

Read the fine print, paired magic weapons they don't follow the same rule as an extra hand weapon.

Well this guy is for an 850pt list and i have no cold ones so i don't know if I want him on his own.

I think he would be a good troop killer. With S5 and WS10 plus lots of attacks(around 6).
