Hi guys,

Here I am again with a log, this time it's on the scenery pieces I made, make and probebly will make.
I'd like to keep it a bit organised ;) so here is een index that links to the scenery pieces and the latest stage that said piece is in.

Also this keeps my motivated to finish up earlier piece and start new ones

Have fun.

- Farmers house
- broken down building (need a better name for that one)
- Ealven House
- Modular Roads 1, Modular Road 2 & Modular Road 3
- Thatched roof house & Thatched roof house 2
- Woodlands 1 & Woodlands 2
- Modular Pyramid
- Modular River

Last weekend I started experimenting with building houses in de 'same' way as the Black Magic Craft video to see how this would fan out for the building I tent to make.

I did use isolation foam that I had lieing around anyway, this feels a bit more sturdy than the foam he uses. So I will have to see how making woodgrane will turn out.

For now I have drawn the dimensions and started the outerwalls and roof:

Tonight I had the time and motivation to pick this piece up again. I am really happy with how the door turned out. I stil need to add the wooden beams and pillars and all of the shingles.

Also I need to find a new basing spray. I found out, at the last batch of base coating, that my current spray reacts with the foam in an unpleasant way (it eats the heart and soul out of it)

Maybe I need to switch to actual GW basing spray.

Quite Happy with the end result. Though I think the shingles are a bit on the big side.
For the next building I will try to make them smaller.

Let me know what you think

I liked the building process a lot(I am an engineer after all ;) ) so I think I'll be starting one or two buildings before I have the time to paint this one :p

Excellent terrain work! :lurking:

I can imagine that placing all those stones in place one-by-one for the building walls took some time :D

Thank you!

It went quicker then I at first thought. Layer of 'Houtlijm' (tacky glue?) And then placing the bricks. Give it a couple of minutes to dry and repeat. So now and then in between work(working from home) a layer of bricks.

The stonework looks very convincing, I like it! Is it just isolation foam from a hardware store or something special?

It has been a while, due to a lack of curage to put a knive in the walls I already made. But today I brought myself to it and started the to work on one of the facades of the building.

I think this will be how it will turn out:

It isn't set in concrete yet so I might change or tweek it a little ;)
This will be repeated at all of the facades.

Some developement on the farmers House today:

For the roof I am not sure what to do.
I have two options at the moment:
IMG_20200911_191722.jpg
IMG_20200911_191726.jpg

The last one is more of a dirty look compared to the first. I like the first more, but think that the last fits beter with the House. What do you guys think?
