Some progress on the thatched roof, I have got two full strips done. They are not glued on yet and I still need to trim them to the right length. But I am happy with the look it gets:

Also I need to full in some spots here and there to get a nice coherancy.

I think this side of the roof only has a top layer left to go.
Then I'll have to make a tester to see how it reacts to paint and washes.

Looking nice and flammable - Where are the flaming arrows at?

Thanks, yeah it does, right.

That is some excellent work, but doing those roofs look like they were still a huge pain

Thanks a lot. It sure is somewhat fiddley to put, but the result is great, I think ;)

I decided to start some new bits of terrain inspired by @Warden 's modulair roads and rivers:

IMG_20210223_103934.jpg

  1. First Step is drawing outlines, cut out and make a sh*t load of tiles in various sizes.
  2. Second Step is glueing the tiles in a random pattern on the cut outs
  3. Then filling in blank spaces next to the road with sand and posible some elivations/hills. IMG_20210223_183611.jpg
  4. Next priming
  5. Painting the tile joints, then the tiles(2 different layers in my case)
  6. Paint the sand(base and highlight) and the grass areas
  7. Apply washes on all surfacesIMG_20210223_191256.jpg
  8. Last add grass and occational conifer
End result:

I took some time today to get one of these further along:

I applied multiple layers of foam and added cork on the steap edges.
Hopefully I can make them look like a rock facade.

Got even time to prime and started some painting.

There will be several 'trees' on this piece

Thanks guys!!

No treatment in any way. Just kept out of direct sunlight. But they are getting somewhat brittle, so perhaps some sort of Matt varnish coat would have been useful.

Maybe some thinned down PVA over them to protect them would work

Great work on your jungle path pieces :lurking:

I had so much fun making mine... and seeing yours I want to go make more!

Thank you very much!!
I loved it too. I have some extra build already, only need to be painted.

These roads are not very jungle-ish. I might make some more Lustria bthemed ones later.

and seeing yours I want to go make more!

Please make more ;)

A little setback on the thatchered house I was working on:

Our youngest son(2 years) was angry and went upstairs, he found the house within reach and broke it. :(:(

I, most likely, have to redo some parts of it. And find a better storage place for my scenery pieces.

The Terrible Twos they call them.

Now you know how the Lord of Swamp Castle (from Holy Grail) felt. But not to worry, the fourth one should stay up! :D
