Blog Imrahil's Scenery blog

I had some time and determination recently to put work in the remaining tile surfaces of my city scenery:

Tiling is done, time for painting

Grrr, !mrahil

I know it technically isn't scenery, but I wanted to show it anyway.

We are doing a kind of secret Santa with the in-laws. I got my soon to be sister in-law (she is marrying my brother in-law next april). I decided to make something to go with the present I bought, which is a book.

So I am building a booknook with a little seen of them at the Town Hall where they will be marrying.
Also a little bit of street leading up to the Town Hall

A very thoughtful gift.

Thanks all! It is a fun little project.
Also a project that even my wife is exited about ;)

Looks great and i second the sneaky symbol idea! Something like the very old round saurus shields as a clock would be really cool :D

Fun idea, but to be honest: the booknook is already finished ;)

Here is the last WIP picture. I added a light in the top for a better view of the scenery

Damn that turned out really nice, what a great gift!

Thanks you all! :) :)

I am curious to here reaction. I will be giving it to her today.
My brother in law already had a sneak-peak at the finished product and liked it very much.
He asked if the Town Hall was a model kit that I had bought somewhere. He directly recognized the street :)

She really liked it, it will definitely have a place on one of the shelves. :)
Here is the completed booknook

I really enjoyed this project and might do one again some day, if I find the inspiration.
