8th Ed. I will never listen to internet interpretations ever again!

So with the current book written with 9th ed in mind, would we get a 9th book at any time during 9th ed's life?
As for what happened, well it was really cool to see that this wasn't the first world.
I do wonder if we'll save the next one though.

Regarding "written with 9th in mind"

remember that our book was already 1.5 - 2 years old when it was released in august 2013.
Vetock, the writer, said so himself.

lets say that puts it around 2011...8th came out in 2009.

What im saying is: I really doubt that 9th was said and done written 2years after 8ths release...

especially given that they have clearly been testing its rules over the last year in End Times releases.

Food for thought.

Re: I will never listen to internet interpretations ever aga

By 2011 the 9th edition should at least have been in early development. Ward said he'd written Khaine a year or two ago as well so this is all planned out well ahead. There have been rumors that 9th is 90% the same rules as 8th edition and the few oddities we see in our book being magically smoothed out (and therefore not needing an FAQ) in 9th feels right to me. When you look at everyone getting combined profiles (except Incarnate of Light), the way our Slann mesh with the Khaine magic, and the fact that Lizardmen escaped the world pretty much unscathed it sure seems like a lot of lingering rules questions will get resolved.

Heck some people (can't remember if here or Warseer) have been speculating that maybe with younger slann and far less of them maybe Lizardmen will get more feral. First thing my buddy said to me (about Lizardmen) after reading Thanquol was "Predatory Fighter makes no sense based on the story." Well, if we get more feral in 9th suddenly budget Frenzy sounds pretty apt.

I'm not sure I would give credit GW with such a high degree of foresight. I'd honestly be pretty surprised if they exhibited such a level of planning and thought.

Then be surprised. It's not really up for speculation.

We shall see.

I just started lizards a couple months ago. I not giving up hope. I need a few more models till I'm finished. Nothing will stop me from dominating with my lizards.

That's the right attitude, friend!
