7th Ed. how to transport PoD?

I am trying to decide how best to transport the plaque of dominon.

on a sking chief with a 4 airskink squadron escort

or drop the chief a terradon and sadly 2 korxigor from my skink block in favor of a 5 man cold one cav squad full command plus plaque of dominion?

Personally I don't think the item is that great, mostly because there is so many good alternatives.. but if I was to try it out, I would probably go for a chief on a terradon. run through a wood, over their lines, drop a rock or 12 and force stupidity tests It sure sounds mean

I usually just slap it onto my slann. The slann is usually right in the middle of the map, and he's large so most people will see him and his unit, and I don't particularly care for the totem of prophecy on that unit since lizardmen have so much fear and terror anyway.

Although he's quite large, he isn't a large target and can't be seen when units start getting between his unit and the opponents wizards. But I agree with it being a good choice, if you're considering getting the standard.

I don't really see it working to well on a Terradon, because they must all be able to see it for it to be effective. And when wizards see your Terradons - it might just have been the last flight they've taken.

Chief BSB on a Stegadon - large target means better LOS and it's a marching model too
