8th Ed. How to Equip my Steg?

I Have so far gotten Great advice about building my Lizardmen force but now I'm very confused on my Steg. I have googled and looked all over for the best builds for a steg and found a few Different ones but what would be the best for games 1500pts to 2000pts? EoTg? Bolt Thrower? I like the buffs that the EoTg gives but I think Shooting Might be nice as we seem to lack long range what would you guys recommend?

Monsters are really a gamble to take in 8th edition, especially when they cost 200+ points. For this reason, I suggest the Special Stegadon, just because he's the cheapest. Keep him hidden as much as possible, and pop him out to take shots with his bow when you've got a good shot. Think of him as a sniper on an elephant's back.

Haha I like the sound of that! I always liked Bolt throwers anyway lol

this is a long discussion i always take ancient stegadon for the simple reason that he is not much more expensive he has STR6, higher armour safes, and with BS 3 you won't be hitting much with a giant bow so i preffer the gaint blow pipes even when i don't use them often
