AoS Hothead Gamer Flips Out, Burns Warhammer Fantasy Army

All you guys out there blaming him, have you heard that GW actually apologised to him
since they saw his reaction?
Also, since he burned his army, GW has already provided him with a new one, and a member of the heavy metal
team as a slave, to paint it.
Anonymous sources confirm my suspicions of Age of Sigmar being cancelled within the day. They will probably hire him to help them make the new edition of warhammer.

All due to this man's noble sacrifice.

Seriously.
I want to say that this kind of moron, wouldn't exist if not for youtube, but it's not true. I've made the mistake of playing with guys, who would
crush/throw in the street their models if they missed their rolls. It's just bad behaviour, against an item not many have the money to buy, and it benefits no-one...save those who get views for their videos.
And that's why i refuse to watch it.

P.S.
Do you mean to tell me, he played so many games with those, had all these memories, and his first thought, was to burn them, because he didn't like the new ruleset? Probably, the worst kind of person.

Not enough of either to express my opinion as fact, unfortunately. However, having played both games extensively - though, admittedly, not as much AoS as 8th - I personally believe that AoS is on par, yes.
Then we'll have to agree to disagree.
But nooooooo.. Let's cut the crap AND the good things.
I believe they pretty much cut everything and started anew. They then filled AoS with a few good things and a whole bunch of fecal matter. After which point they were so busy patting themselves on the back that they completely forgot to include a balancing system of any sorts.
I guess part of me is hoping regardless of the quality of AoS that it gets more people into the game and generates more interest in Warhammer as a whole, while I wish it was not made this much easier
I'm personally hoping that AoS crashes and burns (although looking at the reception it has received I know that will not be the case). AoS has really fragmented the community. Players are moving in a bunch of different directions...
  • hanging on to 8th
  • moving on to AoS
  • moving on to KoW
  • moving on to other game systems entirely
  • quitting
The unlikely event of AoS' utter and immediate collapse would be the best thing that could happen for the sustainability of 8th edition. Personally I don't care how many people play GW games, I only care about having as many players as possible stick with 8th edition. I know that it won't actually happen, but a man can dream can't he?
I duno Guys I had a series of cheat sheets that covered most rules.
4 pages for turn order and shooting/combat charts, movement and basic rules,
1 page for terrain,
2 page for magic spells
1 page for BRB weapons, armor and items.
1 page for scenarios.

seems entirely possible.
I agree that you can make a cheat/reference sheet that is only 10 pages in length, but that is because you have prior knowledge of the contents of the full rules and even then you will have to refer to the full BRB for clarification from time to time.
It's this kind of negativity that fuels flame wars in the wagaming community online.

I think at least @NIGHTBRINGER can appreciate this:

They say "A picture says a thousand words". That picture has said a thousand words with such eloquence that it has brought tears to my little lizard eyes. I think that summarizes the transition from 8th edition to AoS PERFECTLY! Can we sticky that picture somewhere? ;) Thanks for the share!

As a former Art Major I feel like I should get this...but I always did poorly in Art History classes. ("MRW GW drops Age of Sigmar") and I still don't know what MRW is.

I laughed probably a bit more than I should have.

I love Whose Line Is It Anyway! Also, that picture is perfect!

Who needs formations in a wargame? How silly!

Alternate caption: "Tactical retreat? What's that?"

The one on the right was an attempted restoration of the original.

Art is hard. :)

MRW = My Reaction When.

Somebody please tell me that I'm not the youngest person (25) on this site... :x
I can't help you with that last bit, :pompus: Sorry.

But otherwise thanks for the clarification and background info.

Not a question to be asking Bretonnians.
