Slann is the king.
Holy molies I just need to make a post out of this. Just finished a 5 match tournament yesterday. ranked 6th/26 players.
My book of ashur, wandering slann managed to slay a daemon prince, lord of change, chaos dwarf bale taurus and numerous other smaller lords and heroes. That was just awesome. Even though the magic is, as we all know, fickle, I just could not kill one hellpit abomination even when he ate 3 boosted shemms to the face and loads of poison rapid fire. Lost that one 15-5. Against those pesky woodelves, the magic was as well, not flowing. But all in all, Slann was Awesome. My DOC opponent was quite O.O when we realized I just Gazed his 570 point lord out of the battlefield.
What I regulary did was first two dice spirit leech to draw out his dispel dice (Spirit leech rarely does anything anyway, but its a good way to scare the opponent). Then boosted shemms where ever it is needed or normal/boosted searing doom.
Also my single dragonhelm dawnstone cold one greatweapon scarvet got a charge to the flank of a K'daii destroyer. During the whole game he slowly plinked and crumbled his wounds to dust. Killing it. Awesoooooome...
