7th Ed. High Elf dragon conversion.

WEll, I just wanted a feedbacck on my dragon, please note that it is not yet finished.(some straps have to be done, the metalls highlighted, the cloth on the reins and some horns have to be finished to, also there is still a wing just attached with greenstuff...). The photos are unfortunately not high qualitiy so most of the runes on the mages cloakish thing at the legs will not be able to stand out as they realy do , cause the highlights can't be seen at any place. It might be that it isn't painted that well for your standard cause i'm still in my second teenage year.....














 
I love the wings of the dragon, looks cool. The rest are a bit too blurry to see... Use a plain background to encourage the camera to focus on the model rather than other stuff around it.

And is that a dragon flaming the rock conversion I see happening? I have seen one of them around with empire models on the base being burned, it is the most spectacular dragon model I have ever seen. Looks like cool conversion work on the flames and getting the dragon detached from the rocks, I will be keen to see this model in focus and finished. :)

I second that :D A great thing you have going there!

The first few photos are a bit obscure though, is the first one meant to be a shot of the runes on the legs? A plain background shot would be a good idea

Correct me if I'm wrong but is the plan to have some sort of scenic base and the dragon connected to it via the flame shooting out of the mouth? If so don't forget you may have to reinforce the flame somehow (internal metal rod pin) so the weight of the dragon and rider doesn't cause it to snap

U got that right with the base.., and it fits on the flame perfectly, because there is metall inside... I just had to support one wing because there was still green stuff holding the wing which wasn't completly dry
 
Now we just wait for the final master shot of the completed model ;)
 
.... Which might unfortunately take a while, cause I have a lot of work at Hand...

Lookin great! I play HE too and its a great army to play with even though we get cut down like butter after we attack :P

Also, if you ever run a dragon in a game, run a star dragon. Dragon Mages on a Sun Dragon die real quick, sorry if thats what you had in mind! ;)
 
It is a well done model, but I really get weirded out by thread resurrection. It's just so unholy...
