8th Ed. Help!!!!!!!!

So I am looking for a solid 1250 point list for a tournament. Any ideas on one that has worked for you guys in the past. I usually only play 2250 or greater. Your help would be awsome. I am not limited to anything for I own over 7000 points in lizardmen.

hi mcasefire! is it a big tournament or do you gave any idea of what armies you are up against??
at only 1250 pts, I´d go without a slann and use an old blood or scar-vets, also a priest or 2 to do the magic
I suggest 2 big units of saurus (always good no matter what army you´re facing)
when it comes to special units its now good to know what army your opponent is playing, if he uses many warmachines, you want cham skinks to take them down, if your up against a "nothing but units" army, you can have use for a unit of cold ones or parhaps even a stegadon, i dont know?
I almost never leave home without sallys, dont know whether you like them of not, if you w<nt, i can try to make a list??
