AoS Hello Everyone!

I recently lost my Grandfather and decided a new army would take my mind of things.

I never do things by halves so I ordered up an army (There may have been a lot of whisky involved). It should be arriving next week.

I got:

3 x Start Collecting
1 x Slann Starmaster
1 x Skink Starpriest
1 x Basilidon

Just looking for some advice on these purchases and I’ve formulated this list. C+C would be super appreciated!

Please be aware subfactions and strategies I’m yet to be fully versed in so those maybe changed once I read more about them.

Hello! Looks like a great start. I often find that is hard to hold objectives with a lot of big units, so I might recommend splitting one of the 10 man knight units into 2 5 man knight units. Most people use spears with knights as well. the extra damage on charges ability is pretty good.

Yes was something I considered. I was unsure if 2x10, 2x5/1x10 or 4x5 Knights would best suit!
I will try a few options!

I've heard rumblings that Seraphon are going through point changes.

Your list is still viable, especially as you have the Scar-Veteran on Cold One costed wrong. He's only 110. Scar veteran on Carnosaur is supposed to be going down to 200, and Saurus on Carnosaur down to 240. Might be worth swapping the veteran on carno for Saurus on Carno. Warriors are also going down by 5.

Ones that are going up are Starmaster by 5, Starpriest by 10 and Bastilodon by 10.

As for viability of the list, no clue haha..I'm new and still trying to pick up the rules and such.

Slightly confused though as I don’t have a Scar Vet on Cold one? And the list was generated on the AOS app so all points should be correct as of today?

There is so much value in that box that this thread will help you capitalise on. I only found this after my second start collecting purchase and it was absolutely game changing for me producing so many more models than I anticipated.

As for your list itself I really like it, I do think with all the big dinos and saurus though that you may find it packs a nastier punch in Coalesced Koatl's Claw or Starborne Draconthion's Tail. Starborne especially give some nice Lord's of Space and Time shenanigans to work with that I guarantee will give your opponent pause for thought when a carnosaur appears 9 inches away from his front line or back.

I'm half asleep haha. I saw the second scar-vet and assumed it was on a cold one! Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, they're correct as of today. Not sure when the point change will be. Just saw a video on YouTube by Caleb going over all of them. I think he mentioned it'd be jm the next few weeks.
