Having played AOS around 10 times and recently going to warhammer world and doing a scenery painting class I ended up with 2 Numinous Occulum from the class.

Has anyone else bought any scenery and if so have you got it painted yet?

Got an Archway, not painted yet though and still in pieces. Having issues sticking it together, I even tried sticking it and putting green stuff on but it still falls apart. The pieces have issues fitting well, always me. I might have to bring it to the workshop.

Have you tried using rubber bands around it while it dries ?

It will be a awkward hold, plus it doesn't even slot together right, one of the slots is out of place so there is a huge gap as it can't slot. it's the side pieces that attach on the side, then the dragon pillars go on.

I think we need a picture of this mess.

I will take some photos tomorrow where the light is better, I just held them together. It doesn't fit snug like it should, there is just a gap. One side fits okay, just slightly elevated. The other has that gap.

Probably have to fill the gap with Green Stuff.
I hear the citadel old castle walls fit similarly bad.

I actually did try filling with green stuff but it still mysteriously fell off.
Might have to have another shot at it.

yea, make small batches, it's only sticky for a little while just after you mixed it.
oh and if your plastic is a little oily it might still have release agent on if from the molding process,
wash it in some soap and water, this will help glue, paint. and GS stick better.

Thanks, I will get this together for my Lizards to gather around.

Another thing you can do if you don't already do this.

The contact surfaces your sticking lightly scrap them with a craft knife before applying the glue, I find this helps achieve a strong bond between the components.

That's a shame, some artist spent a lot of time on those masters, only to get crapy molds made from them.

Nope. There are a lot players who said the AoS scenery are really, really low quality.
Definitely not the usual GW quality.

That's good to know, I was thinking about getting a piece or two cause of the designs (especially the archway with the dragon on it), but if its really this bad as you and little-myth are saying, I'm going to pass and try to find some old Fantasy scenery.

To be fair, I don't own any of the new packs.
I only tell what I've heard.

Fair enough. I recommend "Battlefield in a Box" as a good brand for getting good terrain without doing a lot of painting or additional work. I've also been getting a lot of aquarium items to use as Jungle terrain for playing fantasy games. Both are good alternates to expensive GW terrain.

I haven't bought any of the new buildings, or the old ones either! We started out on a 4x8 white board, drawing scnenery and making buildings out of lego! Kinda ghetto, but when you want a game now it'll do! Although I did build a miniature outhouse that we randomly rolled as a wyrding well... the imagery was rather gross, but hilarious! Then in aos we used it as the magewrath throne!

I've got a melodic gate, arcane ruins, bale wind vortex and a Mage wrath throne.
The fortress Gate is a lovely piece, and combines really nicely with the bale wind vortex.
I'm hoping to expand my fortress so it stretches the full width of a 4x6 board.
I intend to buy a pair of realm gates and some woods soon as well.

The rules for the mage wrath throne are hilarious and awesome! I highly recommend using that piece!
