GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

They said what they thought they needed to say to bolster upcoming sales. No more, no less. I have little faith in modern day GW as a company. Shady practices and extreme greed.

I agree that the company I remember from the late 90's/00's is very much dead and gone however I think they have shown they have a rough handle on things when it comes to understanding the type of game we want.

Even if it is just marketing talk and they end up going in the completely wrong direction come release - at the time of writing I have moved from cautiously optimistic to full optimistic, maybe I will even move to "excited" depending on what they preview next.

Personally, I'm not impressed with the presentation of the new Freeguild/Dawnbringer range, and the paintjob they went with is not helping matters. I feel like I'd be better served just going to a third party retailer or browsing Cults3D for suitable proxies instead if and when I commit to doing a Living City army.

In fitting with them supposedly bring out Warhammer The Old World GW have told Warhammer Armies Project to cease and remove all instances which infringes in their intellectual property. Shame as he has kept the old fantasy alive for over 13 years.

The guy was just keeping the seat warm, anyone proxying off of anything GW have made run the risk. I think in this instance GW are in the right.

Different story if they had no intention of picking the game system up again of course.

Not from my perspective. I think they've missed the mark badly. Focusing on mainly the boring armies and letting the more interesting ones play second fiddle.

If TOW succeeds, maybe I'll be able to get some updated Wood Elves models for my wife's WHFB army... that's a win. If TOW crashes and burns, I'll have a good laugh... that's also a win!

The irony is that so much of GW's IP is "borrowed" from other sources.

I like these. I wouldn’t play the faction given the choice but I like these models.

GW is really going for an almost complete renewal of the CoS models' range...
At least (from a fluff pov) it makes sense: with the passing pf centuries, old human units vanish and new units appear

I'll be interested to see if they get rid of the silly semi-comical German names as well for these new humans, because that definitely won't fit if it stays.
