GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Very true, let’s hope the double shoot strat survives into the next codex, and hopefully moves to core where we can dream up some wild combos

Such an awesome looking model.
It pains me a bit, because this reminds me of my year's goal to finish painting my Ironjawz models... which, needless to see, I did not succeed

Grrr, Imrahil

There's still weeks left, you can do it. Just skip work and ignore your family during the holidays :p

Age of Sigmar, the RPG.
"This model gains a +1 to diplomacy rolls when dealing with Seraphon".

I wondered if this could hint to some kind of Skaven updates? Probably not since it's just a one-off mini.

In other news, their Blood Bowl counterparts are finally getting a rat ogre model that isn't an ungainly model to lay down when knocked down or stunned.

Sorry @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl but your Tyranids don't fare to well.

Personally I think there was a slight inaccuracy there - Boneswords can cut through Power Armour (at least they can in the proper 40K Editions I play) so that Tyranid Warrior should have been able to cut right through that Marine’s chainsword and kill him instantly. Maybe he just fluffed his to Wound rolls...

But then, it wouldn’t have been a very flattering trailer for a sequel to Space Marine to have the eponymous Marines butchered by a mere Tyranid Warrior at the last minute... that job goes to the Hive Tyrant!

I’m just pleased to see Tyranids be the main foe in the game, it’s been a while since Tyranids have appeared in a 40K game. The only others I can think of off the top of my head are Dawn of War II and the more recent Gladius.

Forgot about Battlefleet Gothic, and Space Hulk is more specifically Genestealers. True, they are part of the wider Tyranid race, but sometimes given the way GW seem to have shifted their favour towards Genestealer Cults (as interesting an army as they are) it makes me think they’ve forgotten that.

So no bias then? ;)

Heh, to be fair I do think 9th Edition’s a significant improvement upon the trainwreck that was 8th Edition 40K (mainly because GW have given Xenos the spotlight at last over Imperium vs Chaos drivel) but let’s just say that I won’t be giving up on 5th and 6th Edition anytime soon (I feel the same way about those Editions as you do about 8th Edition Fantasy), and while I slightly object to the possibility of GW have switching the AP values of Chainswords and Boneswords since then, I can’t be bothered to pick up some 8th/9th Edition books to find out whether that theory is true.

not only that, it's the rules and the way you win the games that are indeed much more balanced and fun to play.

And more specifically for Horus Heresy.

I'm of a bit mixed of opinion on these since out of my local gaming group there's maybe one or two Blood Angel players and no Imperial Fist that I know of. If anything, I'm still waiting on Forgeworld to "unintentionally" give their Salamander Pyroclasts a better unit to be a part of like what recently happened with the World Eaters' Rampagers (in their case, the Red Hand destroyer assault squad).
