GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

I do like the FEC and Skaven stuff. Especially the former.

I wonder if our Lizards will ever receive an update? They have to be one of the longest running armies without an update.
Well, we did get a pretty substantial upgrade in the GHB (new artefacts list, new allegiance abilities, and the new summoning) and we are still in the upper half of armies, power-wise.
So they probably think it isn't that urgent to update us.

The factions that get updates now had it considerably worse.
Skaven, FEC, Slaanesh, Grots, and Beastmen all were rarely played (despite being liked by many people) because they were bad jokes performance-wise.

That makes sense. I'm interested if they will ever make any Lizardmen terrain pieces or models or endless spells.

Back then when the first endless spells were released they did say that _eventually_ all factions should get some (probably three) of those.
So yeah, I do think that there will be some for lizards, we just don't know when.

I am also fairly sure there will be an updated Battletome eventually, Seraphon seem to be fairly popular and have a good range of plastic models that GW can make profit with.

It will happen, I am really confident about it. Just the "when" question.... no clue.

It's pretty funny how FEC was a true top-tier army at the moment of its release. Hard to kill, heavy damage-dealers, couriers that bring back high-value models…
They has become old very quickly, while we stationed in a stable "over the average" position.

Yeah I think for FEC it really was that people- once they played them - realized what their weaknesses are rather quickly.
Really squishy heroes, and all the synergies rely on those.
And then many armies got a lot of good ranged weapons and even ranged mortal wounds abilities, which totally destroyed FEC.

Afterthought:
Same for our Skink heroes btw.

true, but their effective role is less crucial than the one played by undead heroes (that bring back to unlife their fallen); so, in the end, they are less likely to be targeted by the enemy… at least, that's my experience.

There were rumors not long ago, and GW updating a faction that already had a battletome (FEC) sets a precedent for such updates, so its getting likely!

It has been proven by TGA that that chap was a fake rumourmonger (see earlier on in the AoS new Seraphon rumour thread) but you are right. I’m certainly still confident that they’ll get round to Seraphon, Fyreslayers, Ironjawz and Bonesplitterz next.

The small thing that slightly bugs me is the horses, it's only the bare skull that doesn't fit that well. Well that's why greenstuff exists, going to add some rotting flesh to blend the skulls in a bit better.
Then realising that you can run the dragons as battleline now. Full Zombie dragon army anyone?

Info about the two new heroes in the carrion box. The skaven is very explosive. The ghoul king has a damn powerfull buff.

I have to say I really like the Skaven stuff I've seen so far. Cool abilities that fit the lore.
It is a "soup Battletome" but I think that is the right way to go for the Rats.

It makes me happy for the Skaven players I know, who are great guys that have been playing their beloved Rats all the time, despite being sad and a bit angry that they kinda sucked. Some clans were basically unplayable since AoS started.

...I just wished the box was Seraphon against Skaven, not FEC. But hey, you can't have it all. :)

And there is something inherently cool and also funny about undead monsters that think they are noble Knights. FEC are a nice faction.

I have never liked the look of the ghoul part of Vampire Kings, but the Flesh Eaters Courts lore is pretty cool.
It is also nice to have a non-Nagash death faction.

EDIT: vampire counts, sorry

Yeah some of the models are a bit meh.
But having undead that are not too close to Nagash is really nice.

Kinda curious if they'l get some conflict and actually manage to put up a fight against Nagash who now pretty much controls every other undeath entity in existence.
