GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

I'm kinda curious how they'l deliver the rules & fluff in this box given that it supposedly works for both AoS & 40k. Will it be 1 book having the stuff for both games, or will there just be multiple books in it.

Will they?
Rules will be probably sold separately (at least, that's the typical approach with 40k products)

AoS generally has all the rules to use the models in the box.

The few models I have that can be used in both games had both rules (daemon prince, some tzeentch horrors).

And the boxed sets like this generally have rules even in 40k, see dark imperium for example. Though I must admit it annoys me to no end that the 40K stuff generally has no rules in their boxes. Someone gave me a box of chaos marines for my birthday and I basicly have no idea what I actually equiped some of em with as I just took whatever looked cool.

Also, I just saw something interesting on the GW website. A lot of useless subfactions have been squashed on the site. For example the human and aelven subfactions have been squashed into a general "free peoples" and "aelves". Maybe some of those will finally get their own proper rules again.

Seems like a positive change. All those mini factions were annoying when looking for specific models on the website.

Reroll for successful casting (plus 1/6 chance of mortal wounds) is nasty.

Edit: is it only me, or the fiends got unnecessarily convoluted rules?

Meh, I don't like that the harpplayer has a ranged attack... a complete lack of ranged was supposed to be their major weakness.

Also fiends are disturbingly sturdy with their -1 to hit and -1 to wound and -1 to casting. They also do a crapton of damage. They better be increadibly expensive.
