GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

I do indeed - my 5 armies are Dwarfs, Lizardmen, Greenskins, Skaven and High Elves. My dad most often plays with the Greenskins and High Elves (as they're his favourites) but we share them all between us.
Those are some fun armies. I only have 3 myself (although each is massive): Tomb Kings, Warriors of Chaos and Lizardmen.

I also have Necrons but I haven't played them since 4th or 5th edition. Which ever edition this codex was from:

That's the 3rd Edition codex that lasted until 5th Edition when it was replaced with this one (the one that got me started into Necrons):

I must have played under 4th edition (Battle for Macragge was the box set from which I got my rule book). Coincidentally, the codex you pictured is the one that ruined Necrons for me!

Oops, sorry, forgot to mention those minor things...;)

Indeed, the Wrath and Rapture boxed game will be coming out soon with plastic Fiends and Flesh Hounds, although Slaanesh will have to wait for more stuff until next year.

Also the Darkoath Warband is going to appear alongside the troll warband, unusually, probably either at the end of this year or in January, with the Kharadron and Tree-revenant warbands appearing later on in the future. This warband gives us another peek into the Darkoath aesthetic and will probably mean an army is heading our way next year after Moonclan (and either before or after Slaanesh).

It looks like a new Karanrak will be leading the Khorne forces in Wrath and Rupture, while a harp player will be leading the the slannesh forces.

Only because of Matt Ward retconning the C'Tan in particular. You have to admit that the additional units Necrons got were great - they were really in need of some additional fleshing out unit-wise.

They could have given us a million new units and it would not have made up for that retcon.

Is this new?

Ah, yes, Battle for Macragge - that was when 40K boxed games were good - none of this Imperium vs Chaos nonsense. Back in those days xenos races were top of the Imperium’s threat list, and thus got the most love (apart from Space Marines of course)

This is all exciting news in Blood and Glory:

  • Little Waaagh! and hopefully something resembling flying pirate gobbos.
  • Blackstone Fortress, I'm specially intrigued for that Kroot merc.
  • Darkoath Godsworn band. Isn't that the cutest bloodthirsty, fluffy hound or what?
  • Chapter Approved 2018. So hyped for rules for The Eight, but Looted Wagons and Beta SoB Codex is excellent.

    Also synthwave:

  • The Made-to-Order dissapointed me. We all wanted plastic Pestigors this year and nothing.
  • Finally Realm of Chaos. I can not unsee a Khorne versus Slaanesh event involving Angron and Fulgrim.

    Let me dream.

Oh, also my guessing were correct, it seem like the Fiends will come in trios (how kinky). I loved the new Flesh Hounds and if I have to guess again, one of the exclusive models will be plastic Karanak. And if the Old Ones shall desire, there could be a plastic Keeper of Secrets.
So, GW is closing this year on a bright note. Last thing we need to know are this year's Battleforces.

Lets speculate/make a wishlist.

For AoS there has to be Magic-er Sigmarines ('cuz), then Idoneth, Daughters of Khaine, and then we have Beasts of Chaos, but the SC! kit already gives you so much for a good price (for GW standard I mean)... so maybe we could see another faction? I think is very unlikely to get Night Gobbos the remaining of the year, and Nighthaunt got a great treat because of the Magic-er Sigmarines (is that good from the Sigmarines or the ghosts just were lucky?), so personally have to options:

  1. Nurgle Maggotkin with either a small or amazing discount. Nurgle mortal models are too expensive, but then again we got 10 Ironjawz in one of the first Battleforces.
  2. A random faction. If it is so. Lizardmen FTW.
Oh, true, Stormcasts have 3 SC! kits, and Khorne too. I missed the chance to say it then, when they announced both the AoS original Starter Box got split into two and the Vanguard but I'll say it now: I hope this means we could get Start Collecting! Skinks someday in the future.

Think about it, 12 Skinks, 1 Stega or Basti, 3 flying reptiles, maybe a Starpriest? just think the possibilities...

For 40K; maybe some Eldar, either flavor, maybe Tyranids? Nurglesque or Tzeentchian Marines?

Good to be back since a while guys, I like the job you've done keeping the thread alive, thanks!

So 2 units of flyers, a stegadon, a troglodon, what appears to be an oldblood on foot, 20-ish skinks and I think a skink priest?
I'd assume this means we can build a carnosaur instead of the troglodon + oldblood.

I'm kind of dissapointed with the flyers in there. They don't really see any use outside a shadowstrike host so getting another 6 is kinda pointless if you already have a bunch of em, even if it does make a fairly decent box as a whole.

Also, just found this online:

More heroes than I expected for a first set. The AoS variants of warhammer quest only had 4 each in the main box.

The Battleforce should consist of
- 24 Skinks
- carnosaur/troglodon sprue
- stink starpriest
- 6 ripperdactyl/terradons
- bastilladon

For me, that is a quite nice package even i would have loved to see a stegadon instead of a bastilladon.
