GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Looks like we have a price for the Deepkin big turtle... $115 USD

View attachment 42898

That’ll be around £90 I imagine in Britannia money.

In the background you’ll hear me suffering from a heart attack.

Consider me strictly a Fyreslayers player from now on, or at least until we see how much the Eel Cavalry are. Forget everything you ever heard about Elf Hoplites until we see how much they cost. Of course GW were going to release those last... :argh:

I read from War of Sigmar in the comments that the Turtle is £70

Not based on the prices we've been quoted in USD

Yeah I have no idea why such a price jump, in current conversions it would be about 90. Unless somehow importing them does knock the price up a bit, then it makes me wonder on other companies that don't seem to affect prices. I noticed though if us people from the UK get stuff imported from US there is that small price hike. Doing some price comparisons with US stock sometimes, US is either same or cheaper than the UK price.

Would it not be cheaper to buy from the UK and get it shipped over, for example the Eidolon of Mathlann is £51 in the UK from a online retailer that's £14 off RRP surely the £14 would cover the postage cost, or can you get deals in the US?

The old fantasy Dark Elf models are out this week, so if you're wanting to get some of those models you missed out for your Fantasy collection, now is the time to get them.

I wonder if they'll do Tomb Kings anytime soon?

Recast. Hence why I said he was getting them from China.

Come to think of it, most of the guys I know from down under source thier stuff from China because it's a third of what we charges for very little gap in quality

I suppose that’s one way to get a new, cheap Sphinx for a TK army.

However, how do you know these traders are trustworthy?

I’m not one to trifle with the law, so I’ll pass.

No one is above the law, not even the monarch!

Once again, it's questionable at best. As a consumer, all you are doing is buying a product. Yes that product is a copy, but are you personally making that copy or buying it because it is one? I would argue that no, you are simply buying it because it is a product you want and this particular source has made it available.

People make recasting out to be equivalent to buying black market drugs, and state it ruins the company.

In retrospect, if you could get the big stuff for inexpensive prices, would you buy the foot troops from GW or through a retailer? I know I would, and that still creates sales

Isn't it all done through reddit forums now? GW shut down the more visible places like Yoymart.
