GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

I've been looking at the prices for the ones that are newly out and I'm pretty pleased about the Akhelian king price - £25 doesn't seem too bad considering he's quite a big model, and I've seen worse deals for that price. In contrast the Eidolon, which is about the same size, is at a ridiculous price. Is it all because of that wave he's rising up on that GW say took the most advanced miniature sculpting in the world to do? If so then it's still a bad reason to extort wargamers of their money.

I also love the Corinthian helmet designs on the King model - temptation to do an Ancient Greek Deepkin army is starting to grab at me...

When you actually take a look at the two models side by side, the Eidolon is a about an inch or two taller and a bit bigger all around. I think it does make sense for it to cost more, but boy how they got it priced right now is indeed way too much.

Waiting on the Leviadon and the eel cavalry, it's gonna be a while. Going to see about asking my local GW about swapping the crew/riders with Seraphon but still using the rules.
Still a shame about the whole allegiance thing, have to take an Order one to take what I want. Come on GW, please have us ally with more than just Stormcast.

I’m really annoyed that the Eel Cavalry still haven’t been released yet, as I couldn’t give a damn about Blood Bowl and with Necromunda, while I’m interested in the miniatures I have no interest in the new rules as they’re too much like 8th Edition 40K for my liking. The Eel Cavalry and the Leviadon should have been much greater priority over Blood Bowl and Necromunda, especially as the new Blood Bowl team is a Chaos team. I’m really looking forward to seeing the Eel Cavalry because I’m waiting to see how many Corinthian helmets are in each box. I would need to know how many boxes to get to be able to get 10 Elf Corinthian helmets for the Hoplite idea.

And I also agree with you that Lizardmen should be able to ally with more factions than just Stormcast. Certainly some of the Elf factions and possibly Dispossessed should be given the chance to ally with them. Fyreslayers at least get the advantage of allying with the other Dwarf factions, and I imagine the Deepkin would be able to ally with most of the other Elf factions, High and Dark.

Yeah, I find also slightly annoying that some local GW's don't really support in-store games for Bloodbowl, not sure why on that. I played a game once at my house and I kinda hated it. Had a Skaven team and nearly all the team members died or got knocked out. I had bad luck and it was off-putting. I find myself trying to work a way now to work the models into AoS.

Edit: Then this is the same guy who always plays the mind tricks on me, getting me into situations where I knew it will mess up.

Nobody had posted an image of the water cloak.

What does the wrecked boat do? :shifty: Is it full of ghosts or something?

(And what is a wrecked Empire ship ...the SünkunnHammer... doing in an Elf Army? Prize ship?)

Well SCE and Khorne were two of the first factions to get their initial waves anyway. I imagine they will go round all the houses eventually to update all those who need an updated Battletome (Seraphon, Fyreslayers, Flesh-Eater Courts), and in the case of the two latter armies additional minis may arrive too, as face it, Fyreslayers need more special characters, and Ungrim’s a perfect solution. The Auric Runemasters have predicted this, but from what I’ve heard they are unsure of when it will take place. They are sure though it will happen!
Maybe GW will do that... but it is equally, if not more likely that GW will not revisit all the different factions. At the very least, it might not be for a VERY LONG time. There are simply too many factions. GW had a hard time keeping up to date with the 15 or so WFB armies (look at poor Bretonnia for instance). Even with their more robust release schedule, there are way too many factions and it might just be more profitable to release new armies instead. At best you might be able to skim a few special characters off of a future shadespire type release.

That said, it is GW... anything is possible.
