The Stormcaste dudes? Those are a disincentive.

Huh. What?

The Stormcaste dudes? Those are a disincentive.

This latest Gryph creature also seems to be suffering from a case of Roided Out Minotaurean Muscle Syndrome (ROMMS). First seen in late eighth edition minotaur kits ROMMS manifests as lumpy musculature which seems to have no skin covering, additionally the muscles appear twisted and distorted. It is an infestation which seems to be spreading from one model kit to the next. The transmission vector is not known.

Sadly I couldn't agree more. The overuse of the same term over and over again almost makes you think the whole project was thrown together without much forethought put into the backstory. Maybe they will change the name someday.

Gryphcast? Gryph Knights?

nope.

nevermind. I am out of ideas.

So...

Caption: A lot changes when you've been in status for 9000 years... 30K v 40K (Link)

anyone know what this is? Does this mean grandpa Ultramarine is awaking out of his comma finally? And going to face off against that giant Magnus model? Maybe GW is about to start producing all the surviving primarchs as model kits for 40K???

I am hoping that this is just a new forgeworld release, and not a sign of the end times of 40K rapidly approaching.

EDIT: looks like id4chan seems to think he is back, they got stats and everything. Strange things are afoot in the 41st millennium.

 My level of knowledge about 40K and its background is so low.......I understood almost none of that. Is Guilimam an in-universe character or a real-world executive at GW? And why did that narrator keep pronouncing "Roboute" as "Robert"?

Call me if a space marine ever learns to shoot a laser beam all the way to the opposite corner of the table...

Somebody on the Chaos Dwarf forum suggested "Age of Horus".

Well, GW is making a big deal this year.

So, we've got the final Tzaanuary wave; daemons: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/01/28/unleash-the-changehost-jan28/

Their SC! is one of the most convenient out there, since everything included are troops, just get a leader and as many SC! as you want and you are ready to go. The new Changeling and Blue and Brimstone horrors are pretty neat too, and the Curning Chariot kit includes bases for each piece of the model: the herald, the exalted Flamer and even the three Blue Horrors included.

And the new LoC is really good, not only its model is great, its gatling rod and abilities are dangerous.

Speaking of, you can see How to paint the Lord of Change here, and the results are fairly easy to get: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/02/03/how-to-paint-lord-of-change/

Not only has some ideas to paint Tzeentchian armies, but I'm sure anyone who want to paint a big bad blue monster will find this quite useful.

Also, there is a short interview with the author of a new Black Library 40K novel, about Kairos Fateweaver: https://www.warhammer-community.com...he-future-john-french-ponders-the-fateweaver/

For my Blood Bowl fellas: KNEEL BEFORE ZUG: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/01/27/new-to-pre-order-from-forge-world-jan27/

Tzeentch's forces weren't the only ones to arrive at the end of January; the Dwarf Giants are also here! https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/01/28/pre-order-the-dwarf-giants/

There is also a simple idea for an orc team: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/01/31/robins-blood-bowl-orcs/

This week Rumour Engine: an actual Engine!: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/02/01/rumour-engine-february-1st-2017/

I can not believe is not a dwarfish model.

White Dwarf Facebook launched a votation to see the Top 10 most popular models of 2016, and the results are here: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/02/02/2016s-miniature-of-year/

40K has been quite busy, this time the Eldar forces are joining up together, and they are getting their own triumvirate (already showed some weeks earlier): https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/02/04/lost-a-craftworld-gained-a-god/

And now, we also know about yet another Triumvirate for March! as you have seen, Roboute Guilliman, the Ultramarines Primerch, is returning, accompanied with Grand Master Voldus, from the Grey Knights, and Cypher, a the most famous Fallen Dark Angel (who happens to carry the pistol from Rumour Engine, 18/01/2017): https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/02/03/gathering-storm-iii-rise-of-the-primarch-first-look/

With a new Triumvirate comes a new Gathering Storm, the final instalment of the trilogy, and Warhammer Community decided to share its corresponding White Dwarf article for free: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/02/03/march-for-macragge/

Finally, while some of the Warhammer Community team was in Las Vegas Open, the other part was at The Horus Heresy Weekender: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/02/04/warhammmer-community-team-liveblog/

And that's just the start of February, remember that we will have some new Stormcast units along the month and, hopefully, the new Warhammer Quest towards the end of the month.

See you around!

I was told by my LGS owner this weekend to base my new Seraphon with 40k in mind. Not sure what exactly he is implying there but he did say with the upcoming 40K releases I might be interested in playing it.

I also noticed that all the Carno/Trog models are no longer available. It is listed as out of stock rather than temporarily out of stock. Again not sure if this is an indication of anything but with what the LGS owner said it does seem intriguing at least.

I'm going to be very pissed if I can no longer get the Carnosaur model. It is my favorite sculpt still.

Maybe I'm crazy, but these Stormcast guys are a couple of snips away from being fancy Space Marines. One has a hand grenade of sorts while another has something resembling a cell phone/walky talky. Glue some powerpacks on there and you wouldn't even know the difference.

You are definitely not crazy, these are pretty much Space Marines... the Sigmarine nickname is an apt one.

Yep and honestly it's a smart move from a company stand point. Make a model for one game but that could work for a different one. I don't blame them at all for this move. Hell just look at most of gws demons...

They are reloading boltstorm magazines, actually (my only complain is that they aren't repeating crossbows, they'd look much better using those instead).

On the bright side, the have some cool extras, like grappling hooks, and the astral compass is quite good.

I like the models, but this guys look quite a lot similar to the Blood Angels, even more so than the regular Sigmarines.

Aww man, that really brought me down. They have automatic weapons?

I am interested in the bits however. I am thinking I can make some pretty darn good Blood Bowl conversions with the leftovers. Oh the struggles of being a gamer.
