GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Considering total war did it with Norsca, and they had to get approval from GW, I'm certain concept art and renders cross pollinated to the GW design team
Yea.. but the things we saw in Total War are very different from those we see in AoS.

I also think we should mention that both the lord ordinator and knight of shrouds have a respective "new" faction that they will be a leader class in, so i think it is all but confirmed that the night goblins and Warriors of Chaos will be getting at major release this year at some point.

Which is what I was saying many posts before... :p

I am certainly looking forward to seeing what they do with Night Goblins - about time the little guys got some support. Whatever the result, I imagine it will be hilarious.

And as others were saying, it’s Darkoath that will be getting new stuff, not Slaves to Darkness as WoC are called in AoS. I would have thought that they would be giving them a new Warriors set entirely for Darkoath rather than a rehash of the Marauders box because Marauders belong to Slaves of Darkness rather than Darkoath, but Darkoath may well be Marauders and splinter off from Slaves when they get their new book. We’ll just have to wait and see.

New marauder base kit. Marauder hunters with javelins or two axes, marauder berserkers. Plastic skinwolves, fimir, a flipping mammoth for the big model. Maybe a chieftain on chariot

I don’t imagine Fimir as they are Destruction not Chaos according to FW. Possibly a Chaos War Mammoth with some weird AoS name might be on the horizon and I imagine there would be some more Vikingy releases similar to what you’ve said.

It's interesting the fact that we already have nighthaunt units. I doubt the old units will not be included in the new battletome, so probably we will have things as banshees and spirit hosts that will have different abilities/ buffs if played within legions of Nagash or nighthaunt battletome

I imagine the Cairn Wraith, Tomb Banshee, Hexwraiths and Spirit Hosts will all appear in the new Nighthaunt battletome along with the new units - the Black Coach will certainly be there as it's getting a new model

Does anyone else like the way they have differentiated the horses for the night haunt units from your standard nightmare steed?

GW will be launching a new, kid friendly, book series.

These book will be an entry point for younger people into the 41 millenium and the mortal realms.

I’ve had a peek at the accompanying website and Darkoath look to be the main villains in the AoS book, so it could be some sort of preview for the possibly upcoming Darkoath new releases.

And as for the Necrons being described as evil tyrants, Mithihotep the Indomitable (my Necron self) won’t be too pleased to hear about this...

For those, like me, who frequent their local GW shops, there are a number of events in June leading up to the release of Age of Sigmar: Second Edition.

One of them even has a SCE on it... that would give me nightmares let alone the poor children. Won't somebody think of the children?!?!?!

Agreed - they’re not my sort of thing either. I don’t think they would have even appealed to me when I was around 8-12 - I was fixed on the lore of the 4th Edition Fantasy Dwarf Army Book at that time. I took it almost everywhere with me!

those kids books.......no thanks.

For me I think they will be perfect for my son, I struggle to get him interested in playing but he loves reading and something like this might just do the trick.

There seems to be this interesting thing about the reaction to the books, one place is okay with it while another is losing it. Well me, doesn't bother me as long as it's done right, who knows it could be just be toned down in terms of the gore and other themes more suitable for an much older age, then I hear the argument that players reading the grisly stories from their old edition books at young ages. Well fine with that, times has changed though. Many expect kids to be sheltered from gore themes and such when they are a certain age (Then I don't really know really, seeing young'uns cursing and scrambling at each other like Skaven makes me think such sheltering doesn't exist with some *cough you should see my cousin's 3 year old fight with his older brother who is 5*)

Well there are my thoughts down, only time will tell about these books

They way I gauge it, I have an 11 year old and a 6 year old, the tv that is for children is far more graphic than it was when I was 11, CBBC has programmes about werewolves, vampires etc, social media has a big impact on what children see and hear.
