GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

In the case of Stormcast, it is not nearly strong enough. Maybe if I capitalize and bold it... I HATE SCE. Nope, still not strong enough. :D
Why do you hate thrm? Like, I know, AoS, but truly what is so wrong about stormcast?

Stormcast are the personification of my hate for AoS. If anything, I actually hate SCE more than AoS. The reason I hate them is because for decades GW has pushed Space Marines onto 40k fans. I understand why, that is their flagship line, but they just went completely overboard. Everything was Space Marines in terms of multiple factions, constant updates, significance in lore; simply put: outright favourtism. I actually started off this hobby in 40k (Necrons!) and at first I didn't mind the Space Marines; I even enjoyed a few of the Horus Hersey books, but over the years GW pushed Space Marine content to gag-inducing levels. So for various reasons (model aesthetics, tactical superiority, my buddy starting an army) I switch from 40k to fantasy. At last I could enjoy respite from the wretched influence of Space Marines. These were the good times, the days before the End Times. Fast forward to AoS, and what does GW introduce into Fantasy: Sigmarines. I could see it coming from a mile away. Now SCE enjoy the exact same treatment as Space Marines in terms of focus and attention. At least the Space Marines had an interesting lore and were somewhat original. Stormcast are just a cheap knockoff of something that I had already grown to hate.

SCE are the reason why I actually don't want to see the rebirth of WFB in a 9th edition. 8th edition Warhammer proper is Sigmarine free, but a theoretical 9th edition would be plagued with them. I'm happy with my 8th edition, and don't want to see a Sigmarine version of WFB take away from the small fan base that currently plays/discusses 8th ed.

Good point

The abyss awaits.

Before the ending of time, the Dwarfes had ruled the stone. Now, with the world reborn, the dawi shall be the masters of all the elements. First was fire, then air and now it's time for water.

You mean like Aang?

The abyss has been here since 2015 and only the strongest swimmers have managed to defy its deadly currents, while the rest slowly drown in its depths. But that is a tale for another day. ;)

I'm sorry sir, but the abyss is a kings of war property. Please cease and desist.

Also, I totally call first on saying long drong was reincarnated in the realms as a cuthuluized dwarf Davy Jones.

By this, do you mean that KoW popularity has sunken into an abyss? :p

No sir. The abyss is where demons spawn from in KoW lore. It's essentially an open crater in the earth roughly analogous to the 7 layers of hell of Dante's inferno

Like the WFB Ogres' Great Maw... but with daemons in it?

HOLY BALLS CAN WE GET SOME UNDEAD PIRATES UP IN HERE?!

What's everyone's thoughts on the whole dread solstice thing? Are we all going to work towards the same dilemma choice or just leave it to personal preference? Personally I think the Drake seems like the most 'Seraphon/Slannlike choice

Drake is Order. Order = Seraphon

Eye is Chaos.

Skull is death.

Even though I would like to see more Dwarfs, it doesn’t look Dwarven. It looks most like the Heldenhammer from Dreadfleet, although it is a ghostly version. I’m sure it is either Ghost Pirates for a separate Death faction or the return of Dreadfleet.
