Pirate? What about the spider is pirate-y?

Probably something to do with how sailing ships' rigging, especially ratlines, have a distinctive spider web appearance to the uninitiated.

Something tells me we can expect nets of some kind.

Thinking of one of the recent rumor engines that could be Nighthaunts, what about Ghost Pirates for this season of Underworlds? That might be a fun nod to things like classic ghost tales and even Pirates of the Caribbean.

Or, maybe a multi-faction pirate warband, with the "rag-tag group of misfits" kind of feel? GW could even spoof Guardians of the Galaxy (for a relatively current reference); Human captain, elf/dark elf/vampire duelist, ork fighter, skaven engineer, syvlaneth bruiser.

Not really, but it's also not hard to see how someone could come to make that association. Alternatively, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if someone decided to run with the idea.

I can just hear some Kharadron Overlord look them over and go, "What a bunch of A-holes..."

On the other hand, that'd make for one hell of a Soulbound or WFRP campaign too.

The fact the GW is making new Lizardmen/Seraphon that aren't actually new (or updated) Lizardmen/Seraphon units kind of stings a little.

But the fact they are kept alive in Blood Bowl gives a spark of hope for new or updated units in AoS or ToW.

40K: Custodes versus Jean Stealers, with a new Champion for Custodes and Mutant Waifu for Stealers. They will come in a battle box, and shortly after there will be Codices. Expect them by this december.

AoS: Nurgle! With a new Rotbringer Sorcerer showing off a new fly head! Expect them by December.

BB: Dungeon Bowl! I didn't saw that one coming!

Warcry: LOOK AT THAT TERRAIN! Conan't the Barbarian't! TERRAIN! Non-Red Sonja! TERRAIN! Shaved Wolverine! TERRAIN! not a big fan of Chaos Spider-Men, but LOOK AT THAT TERRAIN!
