Gloomspite Gitz 1500 Army List

I have bought some of the new Troggoths aswell, trying to get into painting once again. I Kinda want to have a granite looking color scheme for my rock troggoths, do any of you have some advice for paints I could use?

What sort of granite, grey?

Go a mid tone for the base, nuln oil wash then drybrush different greys in random places then stipple pallid wych flesh onto the scales

I love the skuttle cauldron 50 points for +1 cast/unbind, access to all the grit spells and deals d3 MW’s - happy days, but I also want to take the giant mushroom of doom, can’t work out in my head if it’s worth the 80 points though! (Plant it and deal 1 mortal wounds on a 5+ to anyone within 8” (so a 16” spread which is pretty good)
Thinking my trolls can hold units pretty well + the shroom to ebb those tougher or horde units.
Do you guys rate it at all ?

I've got everything built and first coat of primer on, will crack on next week.

Just started the skin tones on my troggs, ended up classic blue/grey colours.

Also figured out my Troggoth hag conversion:
Arachnorok lower half - bulbous troll top - with all the river troll trimmings.

Question, I don’t actually know the direct answer (nor can I find one scrounging the Internet)

Can you stack -1 to hit etc modifiers?

For example;
Fellwater troggs have a -1 to hit ability.
A webslinger shaman can cast a spell for a -1 to hit to all enemies within 12”
Do the two combine for a -2 to hit?

Personal thought - they should but I do feel it is a tad OP.

Just want to be clear :) thanks!

I think you can't go above -2 not sure @LizardWizard @Killer Angel @Aginor will have the answer.

I'm still waiting for those bloody mushrooms, getting pissed off now .......

Cheers - hopefully they wake and come to my aid.

What mushrooms are you waiting on?

I ordered some from bits of war, Kromlech toadstools and forest mushrooms, I can make some from greenstuff but I need loads so thought to save time.

Coming from Poland but I ordered them 3 weeks ago now.

Well, if you play nurgle you can stack Cloud of Flies and Plague of Flies, protecting a unit of 20+ plaguebearers with a -4 vs shooting and a -2 vs melee… :vomit:

As far as I know there is no limit to stacking modifiers.
However there are diminishing returns.

You could buff a save or hit to 1+, but since a roll of 1 is always a fail that would only help you if your opponent has an opposing buff in place. (So for example you still want to get a 2+ save despite rend)

EDIT: sniped. :D
