AoS GHB2017 removing skink heroes

In the new handbook there is no mention of using older models, so by this I assume that the skink chief and named skink heroes have all been removed from the game. Am I correct in this or does anyone (please) correct my mistake.

Aren't there more units that don't have listed point values in books right now? Maybe the warscrolls came too late to be put in the books?

Ye and its been noted that if you dont have a point cost for your model you cannot use it in matched play.

There seems to be a misunderstanding here. Theyre not getting new warscrolls. They already have warscrolls. On GHB release day there will be a PDF released containing all the legacy warscroll point values, including the skink heroes that are not in the seraphon battletome.

The characters are a bit less, but the skink chief is amazeballs

Not only GW nerfed the skink chief pretty hard, but actually you cannot even play it alongside with Seraphon! (and not even Oxyotl, BTW. We can kiss goodbye all old models not included in the battletome... unless you simply play "Order Allegiance")

The statements of people (including me) about continuing to playbthe Skink Chief were made before he lost his Seraphon Keyword and his Command ability.
He is pretty much useless now so I will play him only as an Alpha for a Skink unit because I love the model. The Skink Chief died with that PDF.
