AoS General's Handbook finally announced !!

More interesting for me:

- Do Allegiance abilities also include spell lore like for the Sylvaneth?
- Why are there Allegiance Abilities for FEC (who already have some), Nighthaunt, and Soulblight, but none for Deathrattle?
- Page 113: WARSCROLL UPDATE??? Interesting.... Perhaps they finally introduce new Keywords that allow some stuff to be "wildcard", like Gargants for Destruction or Deathmages for Death.
- Siege warfare sounds good.

EDIT @NIGHTBRINGER why? Do you want to burn it as quickly as possible? It is an AoS book!

Siege Warfare rules, eh? Interesting. I really hope they expand the core AoS ruleset beyond the four-page leaflet we have right now.
Agree. Strange though since I think I remember them saying they won't change the core rules...

I would love if they made the game a bit more complicated, nowhere near the complexity of Warhammer Fantasy, but something like what 40k is doing.

I don't think it's a rules update, more like a new way too play. It's called siege warfare, so i belive it will focus a lot on things such as defender and attacker. New missions might be something like a Beach head attack, Gate assault and so on. I think it will take some inspiration from this book.

Basically a rulebook full of different scenarios regarding attack and defend missions over different types of strongholds and fortresses.

Does anyone which day in August this book is set to be released on?

What are you up too?

Alliance points are interesting!

Just eager to see if Tomb Kings get nerfed so I can pick up some TK models for a decent price for my 8th edition army! :) A solid nerf might help flood the secondary market.
I can imagine how you're already sitting there with a big evil grin on your face rubbing your hands...;)

Pretty much!

I'll be relying on you guys to tell me if the TK do receive a nerf or not (seeing as I won't be reading the book).

There is a warscroll update? It is only one page, what do you think will be put into it?

Also, I hope they will also give the Seraphon spells!

I cannot wait for the Fangs of Sotek! :)

And finally Death (other than Flesh Eater Courts) will receive some boost. And Dispossessed too!

It seems your desires will be fullfilled.

The strongest TK units will see an increase in points cost, and Deathrattle will not have their own Allegiance.... which not only sucks for poor Wight King / black knights / Grave Guards, but it was basically the only way to gain improvements for Tomb Kings in AoS. :(

That's what I'm hoping for, but there is no guarantee. It does make sense that GW would try to persuade its consumer base to shelf armies that are no longer in production and buy new stuff. However, with GW you never know what will happen.

Who would have guessed that I would be excited for an AoS release?!!? :cyclops:

On the contrary, I really hope nothing will be added to the rules (apart from maybe some possible clarifications on line of sight, measuring from base to base and possibly changing the 0.5" distance for successful charges into 1"...)!
I like how complexity is now achieved modularly by adding temporary battleplan-based rules instead of permanent modification to the core mechanics, but I know this is personal taste!

By the way, that page 113 (Warscroll update) sounds interesting...

For now I just want to hear more about Death faction: tomorrow we will see some piece of news about it, let's all hope for some love to those poor undeads!

That's what I'm hoping for, but there is no guarantee.

the previous leaks were that Necroknights will go from 160 to 240, and the royal Warsphinx will cost 100 more points. And SSC goes from 120 to 160.

NOOOOOOO... I want to see them burn in the AoS world! Rage quitting everywhere!!!

I've had enough with those poor Dark Elves thrown into flames, tnx. :argh:

What?!? That would be pretty brutal! :hilarious:

Oh, I don't know why, but you've made me remember a thing I haven't written in my previous post:
please, GW, if you are reading this message, do something for the Aelves factions.
I've NEVER had any interest in what used to be High/Dark/Wood Elfs, but seeing how they have been left alone and forgotten in the past 2 years (and taking into account the recent Slaanesh Start Collecting!) the GHB2.0's release could be the chance to give them a little bit of attention... Be it fluff-wise or whatever!

Oh dear I hope they do something cool with Death so I am not building all those Skeletons only to have the maximum sucker army with no good stuff at all.

My best guess/hope: Skeletons become generic Death units fitting to all Death armies not breaking allegiance. So I can play one of the others and still pretend it is Deathrattle.
