Very nice. I love those models!

So much phenominal stuff!

Additionally... I've been working hard and completed my custom Stegadons using Sinoceratops models from Lord of the Print. My only complaint would be that I should have printed them slightly larger.

I still need to do their crews and then maybe I'll add more decor to them. These were the first models where I utilized glazes on virtually the entire animal and I'm very happy with the results. Also these pics lack flock on the bases, but that's been done.

Love the Sinoceratops, probably my favorite of the ones you have painted up so far. Very unique, and lovingly painted. Well done! :artist::artist::artist::vulcan:

It's been far too long! And I have been lax on updating this page! That being said, I have not been entirely idle.

First up, the Nebulodon by Claybeast Creations with a Chameleon Skink rider. Perhaps he's an oracle?

To date, she represents my best base-work, with some good blue/water/mud water effect, and scattered ruins. I also am happy with the fades on her spines and belly.

Next up, I did some Skink Handlers from One Page Rules Minis, as well as a few jungle swarms, and scatter terrain....

That catches us up to the present now... where I've been working on three hero models from One Page Rules Minis as well.

Firstly, we have a Skink Priest/Star Seer, but without any chair, he's been magnetized and can go on my Slann mount, or Palaquin/Etc. etc.

Then we have a Skink Chief with skull helmet and a very vicious and large hatchet like weapon.

PXL_20220819_170336022.jpg

Alright, finally we have a Skink Oracle type model, that I've modeled onto a fun beasty from Lord of the Print. This beast gave me a lot of trouble and I ended up customizing his head (printed 20% larger, and specifically 40% wider than the default head, relative to the rest of the body. I'm quite happy with how he came out!

So with that update... here is what I still need to paint... (Sigh lol)

20 Temple Guard
20 Saurus
1 Giant Ceratops with Engine of the Gods
Lord Kroak, Palaquin, and Weird Ruin piece
10 Saurus Cav
10 Skink Cav

and 2 newcomers off the Printing Press.... Ancient Salamanders (Lost Kingdom Salamanders printed at 125% with 140% body width), on 120mmX90mm Bases...

Awesome work!

Also, if you happen to be patreon member of OPR, Quezacoatl from this month has option to be printed without that giant snake. So you can print just throne for your starseer.

The blue-green on the last "Skink Oracle" is beautiful! Would you mind sharing your painting steps/recipe for that?

I think it was primed white, then dry brushed army paint poison green, then given a green stuff world aether blue ink wash... very dilluted.

Then a little more drybrushing with some emerald I think.

Sorry it was a one-off and I'm not always very good at remembering exactly what I used in those cases.

It took ages, but I finally completed my Skink Cavalry unit. Using Claybeast Creations mounts from their skink cav, and then applying One Page Rules/Lost Kingdom Miniature hybrids for riders. Weaponry varies, as I like to think of it as a hybrid unit, that uses ranged attack before any inevitable close combat clash. I refer to the mounts as "Horntails" and presume they are poisonous.

I'm a shit photographer, so just take my word that these are more turquoise and less blue in person!

Also, part one of Lord Kroak is complete. May or may not add some sort of magical lighting effect later.

My god! Those are amazing models! And your painting made them pop up even more!

Great work man, the colorscheme does them justice.

Great start on the ruined structure parts, looking forward to your Lord Kroak

Grrr, Imrahil

Great painting and basing work on the Skink riders!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the kind words. If anyone has suggestions on anything please do.

I'm trying to learn to highlight better, but it's slow going.

My WIP on the kroak pallaquin.

The banner on top is considered done, though maybe I should do something more with the feathers?

I'm pretty happy with the jade stone and how that came out.

Suggestions?
I really like the color of stone you went with for the palanquin and rings surrounding it, it's like a sandstone, not something I've seen before while searching the internet. The green accents inside the throne portion look really nice with the tan as well!

I think the feathers look good, if you're asking for suggestions, maybe add a darker color at the base to separate them from the banner. And do some thin bright lines to create feather texture.

I definitely feel like gw skimped on the sculpting of some areas of Kroak. The feathers on the palanquin and the attendant don't have much texture and the snakes are pretty badly sculpted in my opinion
