AoS Fun with double teleport

This trick works even better than you say - because the base of the Balewind vortex is twice the size of the 50mm base on the Slann. That pushes your Carno another 1" towards the target.

If you do not want to expose the Slann you can teleport the Skink Starpriest and have that summon the Balewind Vortex. With the smaller Skink base it actually pushes your Carno further forwards. Hmm, if you are brave you can just summon the Starpriest as with an Astrolith Bearer on the table the chances of failing that are about the same as of failing a Teleport roll. With a little careful positioning you might be able to use the 2nd teleport on a big unit of Warriors and get the lead warrior also within 6" of a target after the Balewind Vortex pushes them back.

Is this still possible?
-Before deploying, give the prism to Starpriest
-Teleport Starpriest and Carno
-Channel your Slann's energy through the Starpriest and cast both Astrolith and Vortex (it says that you can focus the spell as if the Starpriest is the one casting it)
-Astrolith planted, Starpriest cast Starlight and Serpent Staff

I think technically that would deploy the balewind under the Slann still! You need to tp the starpriest and Carno. Summon astrolith, giving casting/summon bonus boardwide to starpriest. Starpriest summons balewind (doesn't count as a spell usage) and then casts starlight and serpent staff on Carno that is pushed forward by balewind ;)

You can summon the Astrolith using the starpriest as vassal. So you canplace him beside the Carno or the Starpriest. That way, perhaps the Carno gets buffed as well with the totem

You can use doible teleport to transport your Saurus Warrior Horde and Saurus Oldblood together, then activate the Oldblood’s Seraphon Shuffle to get them 3” closer!

Although don't forget that without Curse of Fates on at least one of the 2, the chances of rolling a 1 in 2 rolls is not that low !

Yeah it is.... 1/18 I think.

Not really, its far more possible and thus far more worse !

If A is the chance of having 1 dice rolling 1 out of 2 d6 dices :

P(A) = 1 - (5/6)^2 = 1 - 25/36 = 11/36 ! - really close to 1/3 !

It is a huge chance - especially if you are willing to count your strategy beforehand on it !
