8th Ed. First post 2000 points battalion box x2 based Lizardmen list

Hello!

After finishing a 3000 points Warriors of Chaos army last year I decided to do some none WH fantasy projects, specifically Warmachine, Airfix, terrain and Space Hulk. I've decided the time is right to return to return to WH fantasy and I'd like to collect some Lizardmen!

I'm going to be getting my hands on a couple of battleboxes, and with a Slann Mage Priest, a Saurus regiment, some Skink bodies and clever converting (Cold Ones into Salamanders) I should be able to make:

2k Lizardmen

Slann BSB with Mystery, Rumination, Cogitation, Dragonfly of Quicksilver & Cupped Hands
20 Temple Guard with SB, musician & Banner of Eternal Flame

25 Saurus with SB & musician
25 Saurus with SB & musician

8 Chameleon Skinks
8 Chameleon Skinks
8 Chameleon Skinks

2 Salamanders & additional crew x2
2 Salamanders & additional crew x2

This would total 2000 points and come in at a satisfyingly low budget for a core Lizardmen collection! What do you guys think of the list? From what I can tell from the army book it would be pretty solid?

It's a good starting army, solid core with good shooting etc. If you get some good rolls, 4 salamanders can really wreck someone's battle line! My only criticism is the lack of skink skirmishers/cohort for shields and deflector units. Call me a sissy, but I always feel bad chucking chameleons under the bus!
EDIT: Meant to ask; how did you do your OOP cold one/salamander conversion? I have a few of them lying around and have been wondering what I could do...

What does OOP mean? I've not converted the salamanders yet, I'm just hoping for the best at this point!

I see what you mean about cheap deflectors, like something to match the purpose of my Warhounds in WoC? Do you think 2x units of 10 jav/shield skinks instead of one of my chameleon units? Or would you recommend a different set up?
