I am new to lizardmen, and after reading the army book and the GW product list I have decided on my first 1000 point army - just wondered what everyne thought!!

I pla to get the battalion box and a Saurus Scar Veteran mounted on a cold one. This will use 998 points and an army comprised of:

Core:
20 Saurus Warriors with CG
12 Skink Skirmishers with champion

Special:
10 Temple Guard with CG
8 Saurus Cavalry with CG

Characters:
Saurus Scar Veteran with light armour, shield, cold one and Burning Blade of Chotec

Thanks for looking!!

Skip the skink champion he doesn't add anything for his points really. Just get an extra skink,

*though if you have a really cool mini for him leave him in.

Welcom to the cold blooded world of the lizzies!

When i'm reading your list there are a few things that come to my mind...

1) Drop the TG!
they are wayyyyyy to pricey when you are not fielding a Slann.
change those into another unit.... (maybe another block of SW)

2) Drop the champion in the skink unit. Imho that does not add a thing......
(maybe cut it to 10 Skink Skirmishers)

3) 8 COC...WOW.....you will probably put your general within this block as well. That's 9 COC.....At 1k that will hurt....But will probably reveive mucho shooting! I think you can better tone it down to 5 or something and use the points won somewhere else.....(Chameleon skinks, Salamanders (they Rock!!), terradon riders) to make your list more flexible....

But that's just my 0,02$

Drop the TG and put in another block of Saurus Warriors.
If there are any points left over from that get some chameleon skinks to pick of any war machines the opposition may have. Also try and fit at least one Salamander into the list, there amazing at the moment :)
