I managed to get in my first two games with the space lizards against a friends Soulblight list. He had been doing really well with them recently, placing top Death at Blood and Glory(9th). So I knew it was a baptism right there. But I was excited to jump in and get amongst it, and mainly to have something to do with Magic after playing with Fyreslayers for a while!

My list was

Kroak
Astolith
Skink star priest

3x10 Skinks

Bastilidon

2x2 Razors

1x3 Rippers(on the board)
1x6 Rippers(in the sky)

Shadowstrike

100 'extra' points.

It went well, but I am sure I played some stuff wrong, so I thought I would throw it up here for some guidance!

-Damn I already know I played Kroak wrong. Even though it says in his warscroll, I didnt check FAQs etc. I tried to cast Celestrial twice per turn :(

-If standing next to arcane terrain, by being on the Balewind, does it take you outside the 3 inch bubble to get the extra plus 1?

-Rippers from the formation can still drop just over 3 inches away? That hasnt changed right?

-The ones that dropped from the sky can count as swooping for the reroll benefits?

-Kroaks rerolls can be used for anything or just specifically for him? Can they also be used to reroll priority( I thought no but wanted to check)?

Any input would be massive!!

Balewind and arcane terrain... I _think_ it works.
Rippers still work that way, yes.
And yes you can swoop with those.

Kroaks rerolls can be used for anything, but not for the priority rolls.

Perfect!

Just wanted to get this stuff clear before my next game. So I can plan better.

The rippers were a huge canon if you pick the right unit. After some mortal wounds from Kroaks spells, they took out a unit of blood knights on their own. My new fave things

Yeah they are strong. Squishy but strong so make sure you strike first.

The balewind lifts you outside of the 3" range of arcane scenery if it is flat and you are going straight up.
But if there is a tower or raised piece on the scenery you can pop a balewind beside you would be within 3" of that for +1.
It's still worth just for the +1 to balewind casting

Good point. If the arcane terrain is, say, a forest, that would work.

Totally agree, worth it just for the plus 1 to cast the BW. I guess it is a be sensible determination if the scenery would affect.

Like how high does a BW take you up?!?!
