AoS First 2000pt list

So I've been toying with the idea of moving up from 1000/1500pt armies to a 2000pt army for a while and was wondering what you all thought?

I am a relatively new player so any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This list may actually be fun. I would just swap 10skinks from the unit of 20 and make one of the 30s into 40 man group. That way, you ll get the *1 of 30ish for enough time. As it is, you will be losing it in 1hit.
Also the 20man skink doesn't really make sense because it really doesn't work anyhow. Make it 10 and use it as a screen / objective holder !
Use Stegadons ability to the unit of 40 : 2D6 +D6 move first round might as well take your opponent out of placement !

On the one hand, I like the range of the Skystreak Bow but at the same time the sunfire throwers seem to be useful for dealing with large units.

It is exactly as you say. Unless you know what you re up against, bow is the way to go for all around lists

Maybe drop a Sallie for a Chief as well, that little guy can make a big difference.

Kit bash it, I used a parts for the Skink alpha from the Stegadon kit to build mine. If you want a real one you'd have to check like ebay
