8th Ed. Facing HE this weekend

I am playing in a Mighty Empires Campaign. This weekend I will be facing HE. In a 2500 point battle. I have an additional 150 pts of special/rare from cities within my empire. This is the list that I have so far. This list is a skink/krox list (to utilize the speed-base movement 6) of the skink/krox. I will not use saurus for this list.

For all rolls concerning deployment or who goes first, I get +2 (and if I deploy first an additional +1).

cupped hands (in case a miscast goes through)

Rumination
Lore of Life is the first thought (for dwellers below). Lore of Light could work well here as well. Not locked into that though...Open to suggestions

Comments welcome. I want to try and stay away from using Saurus.

I don't think that you can take two luckstones. Also, I could never run a list without Saurus (Though that's just my opinion). If you have the points, I'd toss in some terrodons, but it seems like a pretty good list. I'm not so sure about a skink BSB... but you don't want any Saurus, so there isn't really much choice. Let us know how it works out!

I actually haven't ran any saurus in about 3 months (when 8th first came out). The idea of a skink horde appeals to me.

I will try to work in some Terradons. I love those as well.

What are you hoping to powerscroll with your lvl2 skink priest? Heavens is terrible on the whole.

Isn't the power scroll good for any friendly caster? If so, I was planning to use it to get briona's time warp off in the first turn. Then use cupped hands.

Nope, it's for the wizard that has it, not any wizard. However, it is poorly worded and I can see where you'd think that.

I'd stick to just tossing 7 dice at timewarp and taking a dispel scroll instead.
